Branding Process

I wanted to create a brand where it would both represent my chosen genre for my movie opening (supernatural horror) and an essence of who I am as a movie director and as a person. In conclusion, I had three different options:

-Perez Productions:
At first I really liked this brand name as it is my surname and had some sort of alliteration that made it more catchy. However I felt like it was not very unique as many of my other classmates were also using their surnames or names to create their brands. So, I discarded this possibility.

-Fate Studios:
This name was also really well thought and had a special, double meaning to it. My second name is Fatema and most of my friends do call me 'Fate' which meant this brand name had a bit of me in it. Fate also means destiny which showed that in my movie things were predetermined to happen. The thing that pushed me back on this one, was that it did not have a ring to it, and I felt like people may find this brand name disengaging and non original. As a result I decided to go for the last one.

-Sour Studios:
To be fair, this name was the one I thought of the most. I asked myself about what logo or symbol could represent it, what impact would it have on my audience, etc. It has everything I wanted to include; sour representing the bitter feeling that is left in an audience after watching a horror movie (scared but full of adrenaline), the alliteration and the fact that it's catchy and easy to remember.
